JinkoSolar Clears PV Module Tests of California Energy Commission

JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd., a China-based solar product manufacturer, has mentioned that the company’s solar modules namely JKMXXXM-72 (XXX=175-185W), JKMXXXP-60 (220-240W) and JKMXXXM-60 (220-240W) go on to comply with the CEC’s (California Energy Commission) requirements.

These modules have been added on to the SB1 (Senate Bill 1) Guidelines list compliant with the PV (photovoltaic) modules that are eligible for project incentives and finance applicable in Hawaii, California and other states located in the U.S.

The CEC specifies the criteria towards the PV modules that are SB1 Guidelines compliant while conducting stringent tests on the PV modules upon factors such as operating temperature, irradiance, voltage, current as well as module power. The PV module requirements of the CEC are considered as the standard practice for the solar firms located in California while being recognized by Hawaii as well as other states for maintaining PV module standards of the highest order.

For JinkoSolar Holding, meeting these CEC requirements represent a major step forward for the company. The company’s CEC-eligibility and UL-certification provides access to the U.S. market in entirety, while allowing for the further development of the company’s overseas business. With its SB1 Guidelines-compliant solar modules in addition to its new sales facility in San Francisco, the company believes it can make good use of the U.S. solar market’s growth.
