162-MW Wind Farm Proposed in Alberta by NaturEner SA

A 162-MW capacity new wind farm has been proposed in Alberta, Canada. The interest of wind farm developers is growing in Alberta’s southeast corner. The Spanish wind generation company NaturEner SA has applied this week for building this 162 MW-wind energy project.

As per a statement released by Alberta Utilities Commission, NaturEner Energy Canada has filed an application towards building a proposed wind farm with 108 turbines located at a distance of 30 km in the southeastern direction of Medicine Hat.

Each of these 80-metre towers will be housing a wind turbine that is capable of 1.5 MW power generation situated at the wind power plant Wild Rose 2. This proposal takes into account a 34.5/240-kv step-up substation that is designed for reducing high voltage power into distributable electricity.
