SunRun, a home solar company in Hawaii, has declared the availability of its solar power services in Hawaii. The company installs rooftop solar panels for free and collects charges for the power produced from the system.
The scheme enables the house owners to save around 15% on the power charges they were paying to the utility companies. In addition to providing free solar installations, the company insures, monitors and maintains the installed solar panels without any extra cost burden to the home owners. This is the second such launch by the company within a span of two months. The company associates with the local solar integrating companies such as RevoluSun and Sunetric to complete the installations.
Daniel K. Inouye, Senator of Hawaii, stressed the importance of providing clean energy to the residential and business owners in Hawaii. He said that nearly 90% of the power produced in Hawaii utilizes non renewable energy and imported fossil oil. While praising the work of SunRun in Hawaii, he said that the location of Hawaii in Pacific Ocean proves advantageous for the production of solar power.
Lynn Jurich, SunRun’s President, narrated the complaints of the home owners about the costly and erratic electric power pricing by the utility companies. He further said that service provided by his company makes using solar power easy for the house owners in Hawaii without any upfront investments.
