Commercial-Sized Wind Turbine Installed on Turkey Hill

The first among two wind turbines standing 397 feet tall has been installed on Turkey Hill, which is located south of Columbia adjacent to Susquehanna River and Frey Farm Landfill.

Sometime in December, the first of the commercial-sized wind energy turbines have been scheduled for generating power in south-central Pennsylvania.

The wind project represents a partnership between PPL and Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority.
