New Partnership to Meet the Growing Demand of the North American Wind Market

Energy Composites Corporation (ECC), a provider of complete clean energy solutions, declared that it has entered into an accord with SSP Technology A/S of Kirkeby, Denmark (SSP), for setting up a joint venture business.

The proposed partnership will sustain the efforts of both the companies in supplying wind generators and blades to the customers in the North American segment. The new venture is well placed in Wisconsin Rapids and located near the fast growing wind turbine market of Great Lakes/Midwest region.

As per the terms of the partnership with ECC, SSP will provide total support in the designing of blades with streamlined structure, in the manufacturing of blade models, and in the building of blades, while ECC will produce the blades according to the design specifications received from the clients or a blade design fabricated under its partnership with SSP. The venture will also produce preassembled root segments and moulds required for them or for their clients.

Jamie Mancl, Founder and President of ECC, said that the understanding between the companies will significantly increase the value of their product offerings to the companies located in the region and will meet the competitive requirements of the clients.

Søren Brouer, SSP’s CEO, agreed with the statement of Mancl and said that it is essential for the blade design and production technologies to grow concurrently to meet the growing demand for large sized blades. He added that the partnership will leadingly position the companies in designing and manufacturing of blades in tune with the order requirements of the clients and to provide a range of solutions to the customers located worldwide.
