Danfoss Plans to Shift to Nordborg to Meet the Growing Demand of its Solar Inverters

Danfoss A/S, a Denmark based company, offering a complete range of grid connected inverters for commercial and residential solar power usages, has announced its programs to increase its production capability to 3.5 GW by the year 2011.

Currently the company is experiencing a huge demand for its Danfoss string inverters and has taken initiatives to increase the production capability to 1.5 GW before the end of the year 2010.

The company is presently having its manufacturing facilities in Gråsten and Sonderborg in Denmark and has envisaged plans to move its manufacturing and supply to Nordborg its headquarters in Denmark. The production in the new premises will commence from the first quarter of 2011 and relocating the entire production facility to the new location will be completed before the end of 2011.

The company has made a change in its top level management and appointed Morten Buhl Sorensen, as Senior Vice President and head of Danfoss Solar Inverters. He is working with Danfoss for nearly 20 years and was heading its Danfoss Power Electronics global supply chain for 8 years and was elevated to the position of board member in Danfoss Solar Inverters in 2007. Morten Buhl Sorensen, said that the company is focused to meet the growing demand of the clients to ensure its top position amid the growing number of PV inverter providers.
