SunPower to Construct 10-MW Solar Park in Delaware for White Oak Solar Energy

SunPower Corporation is all set for implementing a 10-MW solar park in Delaware. SunPower has been selected for designing, building, operating as well as maintaining the Dover SUN Park located in Dover, Delaware for the LS Power Group subsidiary White Oak Solar Energy.

The solar park is expected to become operational by next summer and will deliver solar power that is emission-free to the local utility grid that is operated by Dover city.

SunPower will be installing its SunPower Tracker systems at an area spanning 103 acres with the company’s E19 solar panels that happen to be the most efficient in today’s market. This tracker system follows the movement of the sun during the day and increases the sunlight capture by 25%, over traditional fixed-tilt solar systems and simultaneously reduces the land use requirements.

The sun-tracking technology of SunPower can be installed in a short period of time. It reliably provides clean energy during the peak demand periods, thus making solar as the competitively-priced option towards solar power plant applications.
