Vestas Gets First Contract for Novel V112-3.0 MW Wind Turbine

Vestas has received the first contract for its V112-3.0 MW wind turbine in Europe. This wind turbine is the latest as well as the most advanced product of the company, technologically. Seventeen of these wind turbines will be given to the PROKON Group, a German customer of Vestas.

The PROKON Group is an experienced investor, planner, developer as well as an operator committed towards wind energy projects. These wind turbines are meant for installation at the Krackow wind energy project located in the area of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany.

Under the contract, Vestas will not only install, but also supply spare parts as well as the VestasOnline Business SCADA, the company’s online business solution. The delivery of these wind turbines has been scheduled for 2011 end and 2012 beginning. The Vestas wind turbines can be optimized according to wind conditions.
