ZBB Energy Corporation, a company engaged in the development of renewable energy power producing modules, declared that it has won a competitive bidding to construct an energy lab at the College of Engineering & Applied Science of University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, utilizing its energy power and storage solutions.
The technology provided by the company will be utilized by a team of researchers from various universities for performing research on renewable energy on behalf of the Wisconsin Energy Research Consortium (WERC).
The planned research will focus on finding fresh energy storage methods and power converter networks for the use of wind turbines. For research purposes the research teams will deploy ZESS POWR power energy control center and the ZESS 50’s expertise to understand the various methods for introducing next generation technology in the use of renewable energy resources. The ZESS Power provided by the company will convert any blend of hydro, solar, wind or any other power sources and bring out an optimal steady output to the load or grid. The ZESS 50 technology is an advanced type of power storage device that uses a Zinc-Bromide flow battery for the purpose. The battery is built utilizing eco friendly materials and offers long usage of life than the other normal batteries.
The WERC research utilizing ZBB expertise will study the individual wind turbines during the initial phase and apply the researched results in its second phase to revamp the wind farm systems and to increase its reliability. The research effort will allow the wind farms to function in an equal footing with other normal power plants that utilize coal or gas as fuel.
