SunPower All Set for Building Solar Park in Delaware

SunPower Corp. has been selected by White Oak Solar Energy LP for designing, building and operating a 10-MW solar energy farm in the location of Dover, Delaware.

SunPower, a global solar product manufacturer, will be delivering solar power to a local utility grid that is operated by Dover. The solar farm is anticipated to start operations by next summer.

SunPower is on course towards completing this solar project for the company White Oak Solar Energy LP, which is a LS Power Group subsidiary. White Oak Solar Energy will be selling power from the farm by means of long-term contracts with Dover city, Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility, Delaware Municipal Electric Corp. along with Delmarva Power and Light.
