Mercury Solar Systems Associates with SRECTrade to Sell SREC Credits

Mercury Solar Systems Inc, a solar power integrating company based in New York, has declared its alliance with SRECTrade to provide its clients an easy and cost-effective method to trade their Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs).

SERCTrade is engaged in providing monthly auction services for trading SRECs and serves a number of clients in 15 states of USA.

SREC is awarded to the solar energy users based on the quantity of solar power produced by their system and each SREC represents nearly 1,000 kWh of electricity produced utilizing solar power. It is possible for a client with a 10 kW solar system to produce around 12 SRECs every year. The clauses of the agreement signed by Mercury Solar Systems with SRECTrade will allow the clients of the company located in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to trade their SREC’s. The service provided by the company includes submitting of necessary papers for the certification, recording the client’s details with the EasyREC service of SRECTrade and handling their transactions. The service will enable the clients to follow the details of their solar power production and the credits on line.

Frank Alfano, Mercury Solar System’s Chief Executive Officer, said that the company considers continuous innovations in serving the needs of its clients. He added that the association of the company with SRECTrade will allow them to provide its clients a visible facility to perform the SREC trade procedures efficiently and cost-effectively. Brad Bowery, SRECTrade’s Chief Executive Officer, said that Mercury Solar System has a good standing among the solar installation companies in the US and his company feels happy to partner with them. He added that the introduction of SRECTrade platform will further the commitment of both the companies in serving the clients.
