Redstone College Initiates Wind Energy Program with Derek Santiago

Redstone College, an institute of higher learning based in Denver, has initiated a wind energy program. The college has selected Derek Santiago as the program chair towards the school’s Wind Energy Technology program for wind turbine training. Santiago will be managing the ongoing developments of this WIND program while ensuring that the curriculum goes on to exceed the industry standards.

Santiago will also be serving in the capacity of being the primary contact entity for all the WIND program students that forma part of the school’s highly personalized and hands-on learning environment. Derek Santiago’s vision in this Redstone College’s wind energy program does not focus on number of technicians churned out to the wind industry, rather, upon the quality as well as caliber of these highly-trained professionals in this field.

The U.S. DoE (Department of Energy) has reported that wind power would become one among the fastest in terms of the growing energy sources for the nation, thus creating many opportunities for the technicians towards installing and overseeing the ongoing maintenance towards wind turbines throughout the nation. Redstone College is all set to become a key player towards training these future wind energy professionals.
