Alteris Renewables to Harness Wind Energy for Nantucket High School

Alteris Renewables is all set to harness wind energy for the Nantucket High School by way of a 100 kW wind turbine that will be powering the island school. In the Northeastern region, Alteris Renewables is the top integrator of renewable energy and will be helping the Nantucket High School in lowering its energy costs while showcasing the company’s environmentally responsible strategies.

The island school’s 156-foot turbine has been anticipated to generate 10% of the electricity demands of the school an equivalent of saving $30,000 annually. Nantucket has proved to be an ideal location for placing a wind turbine since the place is enabled with high speed winds.

This wind turbine will be providing the school with savings on their electricity bills over a longer time period. The NW100 wind turbine from Northern Power Systems located at Providence in Rhode Island had been installed by the Wind Business of Alteris Renewables.
