Soitec, a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) supplier and solution provider for electronics and energy industries, declared that Concentrix, the solar division of the company offering concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) systems has entered into a worldwide partnership with Johnson Controls, a company delivering product solutions and services to improve the energy competence of the buildings. Johnson Controls also provides design and builds turnkey type of projects with maintenance for large scale renewable energy projects.
Under the clauses of the currently signed partnership agreement Concentrix Solar and Johnson Controls will recognize the utility level solar projects and seek out mercantile prospects and offer themselves for the building of such solar projects. Johnson Controls will take care of constructing, operating, providing maintenance and continuous support for the solar power installations by incorporating the Concentrix CPV expertise. The CPV technology provided by Concentrix incorporates a two axis tracking feature that is more ideal for places with high level solar irradiation. Both the companies are hoping to utilize their respective strengths and cost-efficient technology and the experience earned, to explore the areas for constructing bigger utility level solar plants in regions covered by Direct Normal Irradiation (DNI) all over the world.
