Solar Nation Inc has recently installed and commissioned a solar power producing structure for Bethel Heights Vineyard located in Salem, Oregon. The 61 kW solar power system will cut down and streamline the energy costs of the vineyard and allow it to fulfill its pledge to protect the environment.
The solar system installed at the Vineyard incorporates 260 solar panels manufactured by SolarWorld and the installation was completed by Solar Nation. The power produced from the solar system meets approximately 40% power needs of the Vineyard’s winery and other vineyard functions. The installed system with its 25 years of guaranteed power production life will offset around 1,189 tons of CO2 emissions during the period which can be equated to the CO2 emission cover provided by 47,563 trees every year or removal of CO2 emission created by a car running over 1,514,757 miles.
Patricia Dudley, Bethel Heights Vineyard’s Co-owner said that the company is pledged to sustainability from the beginning and was always on the lookout for technologies for that purpose. She thanked solar nation for providing a solution that can provide solar power to make the business run profitably while fulfilling the commitment of the company to clean energy production. Paul Hodge, Solar Nation’s CEO said that by producing solar power, Bethel Heights will cut down the load requirement on the grid, reduce carbon emissions and provide an eco-friendly environment.
