Raser Technologies, an environmental energy technology company, declared that its auxiliary project company Lightning Dock Geothermal has contracted a Term Sheet with Ormat Nevada, an ancillary of Ormat Technologies, to offer Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services to the New Mexico geothermal project of Lightning Dock.
According to the clauses of Term Sheet, Ormat is named as the supplier of equipment for the proposed project. The work to be carried out by Ormat at the site includes setting up of two large sized Ormat manufactured binary turbo generators and the required related equipment meant for the above-ground plant. The equipment to be installed at the site includes transmission and interconnection equipment, well field pumps, cooling towers and pipelines. Ormat Nevada will also perform any other installation required at the site. According to the set project program, the above-ground structuring needs to be finished within 24 months from the date of providing the go ahead instruction notice.
Mike Hayter, Raser Technologies’s Project Manager, expressed his enthusiasm about the association with Ormat, a company recognized for its binary-cycle geothermal equipment, he added that his company could easily identify the gains the association with Ormat could bring in for the project. He also mentioned the financial arrangements made for the project in association with FE Clean Energy.
Yoram Bronicki, President and COO of Ormat, expressed happiness to work in the Lightning Dock geothermal development project along with Raser Technologies. He added that his company will use its proven technical attainments, and dependable power plant know-how for the accomplishment of the project.
