Neo Solar Power (NSP), a solar cell manufacturer based in Taiwan, has inked a contract to procure solar wafers from GCL-Poly Energy Holdings. GCL is a provider of polysilicon products in China. The purchase agreement is a bid to secure a constant production material supply to NSP.
NSP stated that GSL will offer solar wafers worth 350 MW to the company beginning from the fourth quarter of this year to 2013 end. The agreement will decrease the manufacturing costs, sustain the quality of wafers and timely delivery. NSP added that the agreement would fortify the strategic relations between both the companies. GCL, according to the statement, owns a 20 MW solar facility in the Jiangsu province. The solar facility is the biggest solar farm in China.
The Chairman of NSP, Quincy Lin commented that because of the available wafers and orders, the company will continue posting firm gains in earnings and sales.
