AUO Introduces Solar PV Modules at 2010 Taiwan PV

AU Optronics has released new solar PV modules at the 2010 Taiwan PV trade show. The company launched the 250-watt and 240-watt PM250P00 and PM240P00 multi-crystalline modules, as well as, the SunForte PM318B00 mono-crystalline module at the event.

The PM318B00 provides conversion rates up to 19.5%. AUO has started manufacturing PV cells at its joint-venture PV cell facility AUO SunPower with an efficiency of 22.2%. The company is building a 10MW PV plant located at the Taichung II fab in Taiwan.

The PV Taiwan 2010 trade show is the largest PV trade show held in Asia. The show was organized by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the Taiwan Photovoltaic Industry Association, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council. The event featured over 250 companies, including PV manufacturers E-ton Solar Technology Company, ReneSola, Motech Industries, and Gintech Energy.
