enXco Contracts Accord to Maintain Flat Water Wind Farm

enXco Service Corporation (eSC), an EDF Energies Nouvelles company, declared that it has contracted a maintenance accord with Flat Water Wind Farm, a company owned by Gestamp Wind North America, an auxiliary company of Gestamp Renewables.

The 10 year operations and maintenance accord signed by enXco will require it to offer assistance during the construction of the 60 MW wind farm, situated in Richardson County Nebraska. The company will also have to provide onsite operations and maintenance services for the 40 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines to be installed at the wind farm during their warranty period and full O and M services after the completion of the warranty period. Apart from the onsite O and M services, the company will offer 24/7 remote monitoring facility to monitor the wind turbine functions and operations from its control center, situated in Chandler, Minnesota. The project commenced its constructions during spring 2010 and is expected to be commissioned for commercial operations by December 2010.

Keith Smith, Business Development Manager of enXco Service Corporation, expressed his happiness for choosing his company to offer O and M services for the Flat Water Project. He added that Flat Water improves the growing wind energy portfolio of the company and expressed his happiness to help Gestamp Wind North America in completing their first wind project in the USA.
