JA Solar Signs Agreements with Multiple Customers for 1.2 GW Solar Product Supply

JA Solar Holdings, a leading manufacturer of solar power products and solar cells, revealed that they have entered into several supply agreements exceeding 1.2 GW with numerous customers for providing 600 MW of solar power products to be delivered in 2011.

They have also obtained prepayments for some of the above agreement purchases. According to Dr. Peng Fang, JA Solar’s CEO, there was a strong demand from both existing and new clients globally for their products. With its track record of superior product quality and on time delivery schedules, JA Solar, has always been seen as a trustworthy and responsible supplier by their clients worldwide. He also mentioned that the company was happy to have obtained these agreements with a next year delivery date. According to him, this showed the company’s unrelenting and unswerving efforts to supply high quality solar products.

JA Solar, established in May 2005, has erected two major solar cell manufacturing facilities in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province and Ningjin, Hebei Province, with a total capacity of 1 GW. Two more facilities have been built in Fengxian, Shanghai, producing PV modules and Donghai, Jiangsu Province, manufacturing multi crystalline silicon wafers. The company has also created a research center in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, where a new type of solar cell with 19% efficiency has been created after painstaking and consistent efforts.
