China Wind Systems Secures Conditional Contract for Solar Cell Production Equipment Components

China Wind Systems, which supplies industrial equipment to the wind sector in China, announced that it has earned a conditional purchase contract worth about $1 million. Under the conditional contract, the company will supply subassemblies, which are precision manufactured for solar cell producing machines.

The contract is valid only when the customer is satisfied with the sample units by this December. After the acceptance of the sample components, China Wind Systems will supply the initial manufacturing units during the first six months of 2011.

The Chairman and CEO of China Wind Systems, Jianhua Wu commented that the company is confident about its technical expertise in meeting the specifications of the customer. Though this contract is moderate, the company believes the collaboration will get more business in the future. Wu noted that if the initial contract is fruitful, the company expects orders in the range of $12 million to $20 million from the customer, in 2011, on an annual basis.
