C Solar Provides South Kent School with Solar Facility

C Solar, a Connecticut-based clean energy company, declared that it has completed the erection of a solar photovoltaic facility for South Kent School in Connecticut. The solar panels were installed over the Wister Field House of the school next to its ice hockey skating rink.

C Solar has designed the system and installed the Photovoltaic panels for the school. The solar panels are connected to the grid and the total generated energy is metered to offer direct power connectivity to the school buildings. The installed system is expected to produce an annual output of 20,273 kWh every year. Star Power, a Southport company, which has entered into a power purchase agreement with the school will own the installed solar facility and operate it.

Glenn Cucinell, C Solar’s President, expressed his happiness to associate with the school project and appreciated the efforts of the school to teach its students with real time settings on how the reliance on fossil fuel can be reduced and how a clean renewable energy can benefit them. He added that the school can right away benefit from the solar power production and the installed systems will meet most of the power requirements of the school building.
