Kyocera Develops Solar Cycle Station

Japan's Kyocera Corporation has announced that it has developed a Solar Cycle Station. This solar powered recharging station will help to charge electric bikes that use the company's high performance solar modules.

The system was developed by Kyocera Corporation in conjunction with its subsidiary Kyocera Communication Systems Co.

The Solar Cycle Station will go on sale in Japan starting this month. The recharging system helps to generate clean energy for recharging electrical bicycles using solar power, but it also has the backup option of using regular power via a DC-AC converter.

This means that if the weather is cloudy or if you need to recharge the bike at night you can do so with the conventional power outlet in the recharging system which connects you to the regular power grid. The product is expected to do well given the popularity of electrical bicycles in recent years.
