Vestas Reveals John Deere Wind Energy’s Order of 50 Wind Turbines

Vestas, a leading Wind Turbine Manufacturer, has declared that John Deere Wind Energy has ordered 50 wind turbines with a 90 MW capacity. The factories in Brighton, Windsor and Pueblo in the Colorado State would manufacture components for the turbines, which are to be fitted in the Michigan Wind II project near Michigan’s Minden City.

Martha Wyrsch, President of Vestas, revealed that Vestas would be providing turbines for producing vast amounts of energy from low or medium wind speeds. As per the contract Vestas would handle the delivery, installation, maintenance and service for a period of ten years. Delivery has been planned for the middle of 2011.

Vestas has so far installed more than 33,500 wind turbine units in 63 countries belonging to 5 continents.
