Tetronics, a British leader in the field of direct current (DC) plasma waste recovery plants, has been chosen to provide the Plasma arc technology for Energy Park Peterborough, which is the premier sustainable biomass power unit in the UK, by Peterborough Renewable Energy.
The company has the technological knowledge to convert the air pollution control residue coming from the biomass power plant into tiles and bricks to be used in the building industry. This ensures that there are no residues that call for land filling.
The Government Department for Energy and Climate Change, in November 2009, had given consent for the Energy Park Peterborough, which would absorb a mixture of waste materials and process them through a mishmash of recycling, plasma-enhanced waste recovery, gasification processes and remanufacture and recycle the waste into products which can be used again. The side effect of this process would be the production of renewable energy, which can light up 60,000 households. This park would save 600,000 tons of CO2 annually, while at the same time create around 100 green jobs for the local community residents.
Tetronics, established in 1964 in Swindon, is an expert in the designing, fabrication and installation of the High Temperature DC Plasma arc technology systems and the environmental applications of plasma.
