Tim Yoder Participates in IGSHPA Annual Technical Conference

Yoder Drilling & Geothermal’s proprietor, Tim Yoder, was selected as one of the experts on the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association’s (IGSHPA) residential retrofits panel.

Yoder was part of the panel during the IGSHPA 20th annual Technical Conference and Expo, which was held in October in Denver. Yoder was the only expert from a loop installation company to be selected for participation.

The conference was attended by some 700 people. Along with other panel members, Yoder answered various questions on regulations for geothermal loop installation and residential drilling. At the conference, Yoder said the main issue was  that the homeowners should be educated about  geothermal installation process.

Some of the key points discussed at the conference include increasing interest in residential geothermal systems, geothermal tax credit, importance of legislative process to set up geothermal guidelines, and protection of homes from side effects of the installation process.
