Now is the time for the Victorian residents to switch over to solar hot water system. The currently available solar rebates from the state are scheduled to end by 30th June 2011 and the federal rebates offered every year may close any time. Though there appears to be enough time till the closing date, it is to be remembered that choosing the right system is a time consuming process.
It starts from zeroing in on a particular model from the choice of models available, collecting the details of pricing for comparison, and considering the available options and most of the time it is a time consuming process. Also the distance between the product available location and the product installation location plays a vital role and most of the time taken for such deliveries takes a longer period than the assumed one.
According to Solar Flow, a company that operates from Melbourne and engaged in providing solar hot water systems for the residents in Melbourne area, installing a solar water heating system saves nearly 75% of the total energy consumption. It further said, that switching over to solar from gas or electric heating system for hot water production also brings in sizable amount as rebate. The rebates fixed on the specs of the system and other point of sale rebates will allow the user to save around $1500 to $2,500 in Melbourne city and from $1500 to $,2800 in other parts of Victoria. Most of the time, the rebates are fixed on the size of the system, the solar collector area and the competence of the system. More rebates are paid to those systems that produce more solar power thus allowing considerable savings on other forms of energy.
Tim Prohasky, who leads Solar Flow as Director, said that his company interacts closely with architects, builders and home owners in installing a right solar hot water system for the clients. He added that his company takes initiatives to procure all the credits available for such installations thus saving clients their time from other third party interactions.
