Greens Holdings Enters Wind Turbine Tower Construction

Greens Holdings, a known heat transfer products manufacturing company, has declared that its newly constructed wind turbine towers production facility in Tonglia will start its productions in 2010.

 

 

The new plant exclusively designed for the manufacture of sturdy steel towers for use in wind turbines has been concluded. The construction plant will meet the growing demand for steel towers required for the Inner Mongolia prairie wind-farm and benefit from it. The wind tower construction project received adequate support from the local municipal authorities of Tonglia city, who provided funding support and administrative arrangements required for the project. The newly constructed production hall of the facility has a ceiling height of around 35 meters to assist vertical fabrication of steel towers that are required for the wind turbines. The wind towers supplied from the factory can be assembled to achieve up to 100 meters and are designed to support the weight of a 1.5 MW wind turbine. The company has already received orders from wind power companies located in western and northern China.

Frank Ellis, the company’s Chairman, CEO and Executive Director, said that the Chinese wind market is adding 7 to 8 GW of erected capacity every year and his company targets the wind markets of Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia. He added that his company is looking forward to lead the market with its defined objectives. He further said, that while the company aims to achieve maximum footage out of their investment in Tonglio project, it also wanted to utilize its expertise in heat transfer products in suitable areas with strategic alliances.
