Filasa to Construct Wind Energy Plants in Ukraine

Filasa International announced that it will start constructing wind energy facilities in Ukraine by 2017. The wind energy plants will have a total capacity of 1.6 GW.

The company stated that the cost of constructing 1 MW of a wind power plant is approximately EUR 1.5 million. The total expense of  Filasa’s Ukraine projects will be EUR 2.4 billion.

Filasa has also planned to develop the Tylyhulska wind farm in Berezansky district of Ukraine. The Tylyhulska wind farm will have a total capacity of 500 MW. The company will also develop five more wind turbine plants in Crimea, namely the Pervomaiska wind farm that has a capacity of 400 MW, the Kholmohorska wind farm with 200 MW, the Turhenevska wind farm with 200 MW, the Bakhchysaray wind farm with 200 MW, and the Soniachna Dolyna wind farm with a capacity of 100 MW.
