LDK Solar Achieves Second MT Polysilicon Train Capacity in Mahong Facility

LDK Solar, which manufactures multicrystalline solar wafers, announced that in its polysilicon plant, located in Mahong, the targeted capacity of the second MT polysilicon train has been achieved. To commemorate this achievement, the company held a celebration in Xinyu City.

The company has three 5,000 MT trains in the Mahong plant. With the newly achieved capacity, the company has increased its total polysilicon production capacity to 10,000 MT. The achievement also improves the company’s position in manufacturing costs, enables it to become a leader in the PV industry, and lessens the risk in key material supply.

The Chief Operating Officer of LDK Solar, Xingxue Tong, commented that achieving the capacity of the second train broadens the company’s access to polysilicon, as well as helping to meet the increasing demand of customers.
