Select Solar And Generator, Michigan-based company that installs solar systems and provides standby generators for emergency situations, has contracted an accord with Jon Boyd, manager of a real estate company in Ann Arbor, to complete a rooftop solar installation for his ranch, located in West Ann Arbor.
Select Solar has been contracted to design the required system, perform the erection and ensure power generation before commissioning. The installation, when complete will fully meet the power requirements of the ranch home.
Jon Boyd, who has ordered the installation, said that the available tax credits, accessibility to DTE’s SolarCurrent program and the affordable pricing provided by Select Solar made the investment salient. He added that his awareness about Select Solar’s familiarity on the technology and their expertise as a local installer has influenced his decision to choose the company for installing solar power for his ranch.
He explained that for a number of years people were investing in solar power generation due to political and environmental issues, but the reasonable pricing and the offered tax credits has made solar installation an exclusive investment factor. He clarified that there are not many investments that can guarantee 16% return on investment.
