JA Solar Enters Polysilicon Supply Agreement with GCL-Poly Energy Holdings

JA Solar Holdings has signed a long-term agreement with GCL-Poly Energy Holdings for supplemental supply of wafer and polysilicon.

Under the deal, GCL-Poly will supply 10 GW of polysilicon products and polycrystalline wafers to JA Solar, over a period of five years. GCL-Poly will deliver the products at a pre-determined shipment volume, from January 2011 to December 2015.

The Chief Operating Officer of JA Solar, Jian Xie, commented that the agreement enhances the company’s supply chain with expanded supply of polycrystalline solar wafers. The partnership also provides a strong base for the company’s quick growth.

The President and Executive Director of GCL-Poly, Shu Hua stated that the company will offer a quality service to demonstrate the commitment of supplying wafers to JA Solar.
