UL Certification Awarded to Solarfun SF260 Polycrystalline Module

Solarfun Power Holdings, a manufacturer of wafers, photovoltaic cells and modules, and silicon ingots, announced that it has obtained the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification for its SF260 model polycrystalline module.

The polycrystalline module has been certified for complying with environmental, safety, and other performance needs set by UL. The SF260 solar modules are suitable for commercial as well as residential installations. The modules have a sleek appearance, offering high performance for applications with large power output.

The General Manager of the North American unit of Solarfun, Bruce Ludemann, stated that the UL certification expands the company’s offering in North America. This large model is suitable for rooftop and ground-mounted applications, which are the two quickest improving solar segments in the region.

Solarfun’s Vice President of Technology, Dr. Mohan Narayanan, commented that the certification is necessary for the company to continue their expansion in North America.
