Lincoln Renewable Energy (LRE), a company that develops utility-scale solar and wind power projects, declared that the Planning Board of Mannington Township, NJ, has sanctioned its site-plan submission for the NJ Cedar Solar farm located in Salem County with a capability to generate 10 MW power.
The company had earlier received the site approval for its 10 MW NJ Oak Solar project from Cumberland County last October.
LRE has plans to commence the construction of its new solar farm valued around $60 million to be located over a 129-acre land site situated within the township. During the construction period of six months, the solar farm will provide job opportunities to nearly 100 construction workers. The company is also dynamically engaged in developing solar projects in western parts of USA and managing it from its office located in Denver. The company has received construction permission for a 39 MW solar farm to be located in Alamosa County in Southern Colorado. LRE is currently developing a 50 MW solar power project over a private land in Homestead in Clark County, Nev., and also runs projects in places such as Texas and New Mexico.
Declan Flanagan, CEO of Lincoln Renewable Energy, thanked the Planning Board and the people of Mannington for understanding the benefits of solar installations. He added that any solar power project needs to be designed to merge with the rural character of the community without disturbing it and said that his company always worked in close liaison with the communities in implementing the projects and will continue the same process in future too.
