CTDC Supplies Transparent Solar Modules to Two Companies in Italy

China Technology Development Group (CTDC) declared that its fully-owned auxiliary company, Linsun Power Technology (Quanzhou), has been chosen by two on-grid power plants, located in Verona and Molfetta in Italy, to provide 1.55 MW of transparent multi-crystalline solar modules.

The transparent modules developed and introduced recently by Linsun Power Technology are highly transparent and offers good visual effects to the buildings when utilized in building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solar projects. The company has already sent the first shipment of the modules and is due to send its second shipment. The installations for the two solar plants are expected to be completed soon and the plants are anticipated to become operational in January 2011.

Sean Liaw, China Technology Development Group’s Chief Operating Officer, shared his excitement in supplying the transparent solar modules for the plants in Italy. He added that his company constantly looks out for the changing trends in the overseas markets, which is reflected in the currently signed accord.
