Mass Megawatts Wind Power to Make Use of New Tax Legislation

Mass Megawatts Wind Power noted that the US President Obama has approved a tax package legislation that includes one-year extension of the deadline for starting construction of new renewable energy projects.

Such clean energy projects are constructed to get 30% tax credit that can be converted to cash grants from the US Treasury. However, the deadline for completing the construction remains the same, which is December 2012.

The company has planned to use the credits, depreciation and grants, along with appropriate state grants, for future marketing campaigns. The company has a 10-year payment option that can offer a favorable payback on investment to the power plant purchaser, in good wind sites. Mass Megawatts Wind Power expects to move into the next stage of operations by early 2011, as all the details have been finalized.
