American Clean Energy has signed a power purchase agreement with Artistic Tile to install, own and control a 523 kW solar array at Artistic Tile’s New Jersey Headquarters in Secaucus. This system would include 2300 panels and would be using a ballasted racking system set up at the roof to supply most of the facility’s electricity requirements.
The design and installation would be done by Bysolar, a Denville firm. According to American Clean Energy’s CEO, Steve Morgan, the benefits from solar energy would begin by the beginning of next year for Artistic Tile and with the economy responding positively, the energy prices would definitely increase to what they were three years back in the pre-recession days. This contract would stabilize the precarious nature of the prices and also offer considerable savings.
Artistic Tile’s Vice President, Zach Epstein, remarked that the company was happy about both the energy savings and the environmental benefits, which the solar array would bring about. This meshes well with the company’s vision of supplying quality natural solutions that would also be sustainable for their customers. Artistic Tile is one of the major wholesale distributors of luxury stones and tiles offering unique and exclusive products for homeowners, designers and architects. Their products are sold via their 150 dealer network or through their showrooms all over the US.
