Joint Development Agreement Drawn between ContourGlobal and Guascor Solar

ContourGlobal signs a Joint Development agreement with Guascor Solar to develop 30 MW of PV projects in Italy.

The first facility in Sabaudia with a 6 MW capacity is already operating. As per the agreement, both the companies would jointly construct the solar units, which would be owned and controlled by ContourGlobal and constructed by Guascor Solar. Furthermore, the next project would be an 8.5 MW unit in Sicily, which would conduct a ground-breaking ceremony by early 2011. According to Joseph C. Brandt, the CEO and President of ContourGlobal, the company was thrilled to participate in this joint development venture with Guascor Solar.

Grupo Guascor’s CEO and Vice President, Jon Azua, stated that this venture was an amazing opportunity for both the companies’ development and cooperation. They hoped that this project would be the first of much more future collaborations in renewable energy projects. Grupo Guascor is a specialist company in customized renewable energy solutions. The company has a vast experience in energy resources and also has a 1300 strong workforce all over the world and an overall installed capacity of 1500 MW.

ContourGlobal with its headquarters in New York and 900 employees globally, has either under construction or in the planning stage over 1300 MW in different markets in Brazil, US, Togo, Nigeria, Rwanda, Ukraine and in the European Union.
