Trina Solar Provides Solar PV Modules for Solar Sheyang Power Company, China

Trina Solar, a producer of solar photovoltaic modules, declared that its auxiliary, Changzhou Trina Solar Energy, has earlier contracted a supply accord with CECEP Solar Sheyang Power Company, an auxiliary of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) for a project utilizing ground-mounted solar panels in China.

The accord requires Trina Solar to provide around 20 MW solar PV modules for the building of a ground located solar project in Sheyang, Jiangsu Province, China. The company has provided the design for the project and builds it and manages the development of the project in collaboration with its local partnering companies. The project is anticipated to be finished by December 2010. The project assumed to be one of the biggest in China constructed during 2010 incorporates both fixed and single axis solar tracking systems and monocrystalline and multicrystalline solar modules and allows easy performance evolution of the solar modules.

Mr. Jifan Gao, Trina Solar’s Chairman and CEO, has expressed his excitement in providing solar modules for a bigger sized solar development venture of CECEP Solar Sheyang Power Company. He added that the partnership is significant to the company and said that his company will strive to support bigger sized solar projects and solutions as a part of its effort to provide green energy solutions.
