SunPower Declares Completion of Montalto di Castro Solar Park Sale

SunPower declared that it has accomplished the sale of its Montalto di Castro solar park with a capability to generate 44 MW power to a group of globally investing companies, which include Fondo PPP Italia, Voigt & Collegen and Metlife.

SunPower, which has formulated and built the solar power plant will continue to provide the required functional and sustainment services.

The solar power park formulated by SunPower is sited in the Lazio region, near Rome in Italy. The solar park with 44 MW power generation capability is formulated in four phases and the final phase was complete in early part of December. SunPower managed the financing part of the construction and development by issuing first of its type of solar bonds.

Dennis Arriola, chief financial officer of SunPower, said that with the completion of the current solar power plant sale, the company has achieved a total of 72 MW sale from the Montalto di Castro solar park. He added that the successful accomplishment of the sale was made possible by the dedicated team of workers and other independent agencies.
