Solar Power, an integrated solar developing company, has signed an accord to build a 5 MW rooftop solar power system for White Rose, a distribution warehouse possessed by KTR Capital Partners, and located in Carteret, New Jersey. The installed solar system will be owned and operated by KDC Solar and NuGen Capital Management under a signed partnership accord.
In accordance with the signed accord, Solar Power will perform the role of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor to complete the installation. The company will utilize its patented SkyMount racking system for installing the solar modules. On completion of the installation, Solar Power will continue to provide monitoring and maintenance services for the installation. The construction of the project is expected to commence in January 2011 and is anticipated to get completed in the third or fourth quarter of the year.
According to Steve Kircher, Solar Power’s Chairman and CEO, the White Rose installation is rated among the largest solar system installations in the country. He added that the project will allow the company to continue its presence in the north eastern parts of USA to improve its portfolio of installations. He explained that the project provides a perfect ground for the company to showcase its designing capabilities and building proficiency.
