Arise Raises Capital for Wind Farm

Sweden-based, Arise Windpower will receive a loan from DnB Nor as per the agreement signed between them to set up the Fröslida wind farm in Hylte. Nine wind turbines will generate about 22.5 MW of energy. All the turbines will commence production by December and should be fully operational by January.

This is the company’s fifth such farm in the south of the country. With this, the number of wind turbines erected by the company totals 58 with a capacity of about 125 MW of energy. The expansion is on time.

The project will meet the company’s target of minimum returns of 10 % of the invested capital of approximately SEK 5.6/kWh per annum. The company also aims to operate about 300 wind turbines by the end of 2014, generating about 2 TWh of eco-friendly electricity each year.
