Sunvalley Solar Applies for Patent for a New Solar Cell Structure

Sunvalley Solar, a solar solutions offering company, declared that it has made a patent application for a "New Solar Cell Structure with Increased Efficiency”.

The newly invented solar cell structure incorporates a range of nanostructures that recur with changing orientation and periodicity, and are least influenced by changes in the angle, wavelength of spectrum, and/or polarization of the direct light. The new technology successfully improves the power production efficiency of the solar panels.

According to Fang Xu, Sunvalley Solar’s Chief Technology Officer, the company constantly utilizes its team of researchers and developers in improving the efficiency of the solar PV panels, to lessen the cost of its manufacturing. The technology, patented by the company, can be commercially exploited in the manufacture of solar panels, enabling a rise in the efficiency of solar cells and simultaneously reducing the manufacturing cost. He unveiled the plans of the company to associate with University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and other research institutes located in China to constantly improve the technology utilized by the solar industry.
