Trina Solar, a total solar products producing company offering solar cells, wafers, ingots and solar PV modules, declared that it has completed the installation of a 5 MW solar power project for Lanco Infratech, an Indian company. Trina Solar has completed the installation through its auxiliary company, Changzhou Trina Solar Energy.
The solar project located in the State of Gujarat, India, is the biggest solar power plant established at a single location, and is a first of its type in the state. Trina Solar supplied the required solar PV modules to power the plant. The state of Gujarat, rated as the fast emerging hub for solar power generation, has high level of solar radiation, vast amount of open lands and adequate government support.
Ku Jun Heong, Trina Solar’s Director of Sales and Marketing (Asia Pacific), expressed his happiness to work along with Lanco, a company known for its EPC experience in power generation and construction segments. He noted the intention of the company to utilize the partnership with Lanco Solar in playing a notable role in the ambitious 22 GW solar energy power generation plan of the National Solar Mission of Indian Government.
Sai Baba, Lanco Solar’s CEO, expressed his excitement to work with Trina Solar. He wanted to leverage the experience of his company with that of Trina Solar to lead the solar industry in India and strengthen the partnership to offer cheaper and sustainable energy solutions.
