Alliance to Accelerate Manufacture of Cellulosic Ethanol

Manufacturer of consolidated bio-processing platforms, which is cost-effective in the production of cellulosic ethanol, Qteros, has entered into an agreement with Praj Industries, a company that develops technologies and engineering solutions for the manufacture of biofuels and biochemicals. According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly produce cellulosic ethanol for industrial use.

The contract will mate Qteros' patented and flexible CBP platform with Praj's prowess in research and technology, process design, engineering and construction. The partners will deliver fully integrated engineering designs for cost-effective manufacture of ethanol from non-food -based raw material. The ethanol will make for an important biofuel solution.

Concerns such as energy security and conservation have triggered the demand for cellulosic ethanol globally to be used as biofuel.
