SoloPower Plans to Build Solar Project in Wilsonville Oregon

SoloPower, a San Jose, California-based thin-film solar energy products manufacturer has applied for a loan facility from the Oregon state.

The manufacturer in the process of building a 75 MW production facility at Wilsonville has made over $51 million as investment and looking forward for an additional $20 million as loan from the state.

The production process is different to that of silicon solar cells that are manufactured as modules.

The loan application made by the company is pending before the loan program advisory committee of the state for its review and sanction.
