Vestas Obtains Order from Chinese Company to Supply Wind Turbines

Vestas a leading wind energy company, declared that it has obtained an order from Hebei Construction Investment New Energy Company (HCINEC), a China-based company for the supply of 50 MW worth wind turbines.

The order requires Vestas to supply 25 units of its V90-2.0 MW wind turbines to HCINEC and install them at its Daqinghe Yanchang wind farm, located in Laoting County, Hebei province, China.

Wind Turbines

Vestas and HCINEC have first commenced their collaboration in the year 2008 through Chongli Construction Investment, an auxiliary company of HCINEC. Earlier during the last part of 2010, Chongli has placed an order for 58 units of kW platform wind turbines produced by Vestas amounting to 49.3 MW. The current order for 50 MW is the third such order received by Vestas from HCINEC and with this order both the companies have signed clean energy orders amounting to 150 MW between them. The present contract requires Vestas to deliver, install and commission the wind turbines along with its patented VestasOnline SCADA business solution and to provide regular maintenance service for the installed wind turbines. The company anticipates delivering the wind turbines required for the project in the third quarter of 2011.

Jens Tommerup, Vestas China’s President, said that the company wins the confidence of the clients by delivering quality products, by providing made-to-order solutions and by providing continuous technical support. He added that his company delivers low cost, increased energy products to improve the return on investments for the clients.
