Fotowatio Renewable Ventures Signs Power Purchase Agreement with Southern California Edison

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, a Madrid, Spain-based solar power generating company, declared that it has contracted power purchase agreements (PPA’s) for four solar photovoltaic power generation facilities with Southern California Edison (SCE).

The 120 MW PPA include 20 MW and 60 MW power generation facilities at Kern County and a 20 MW facility in Los Angeles County. The company has unveiled its plans to invest, formulate, build, own and manage the facilities. The proposed facilities will generate enough electricity to power 78,000 houses.

Jose Benjumea, FRV, USA’s CEO, regarded SCE as a leading utility company promoting renewable energy projects in California and expressed his happiness to associate with the company in implementing solar projects. He added that the projects will meet the renewable energy requirements and goal of the California state and will usher in reasonable economic rewards to the Kern and Los Angeles Counties. He further said that the current collaboration will further strengthen the position of the company as a leading solar developing company in USA and augments its portfolio of implemented renewable energy projects.
