The EXPO Solar/PV Korea 2011, at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi, Korea, from February 16-18, 2011 is expected to portray the changing shift in major solar markets.
The expo is expected to describe the noticeable trends in the demand for solar energy and increased demand for the solar products in Asian countries and in the U.S., than that of the European countries. With Korea taking a leading role in solar energy markets of Asia, a volatile growth is anticipated in the region.
Korea is planning to implement its Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) from 2012, and this has resulted in huge investments in solar business and expansion in big way by the companies who are already in it. The EXPO Solar/PV Korea 2011 happens to be the first major solar event in the country for the year and it is expected to fuel the growth of renewable energy products before the anticipated implementation of RPS 2012. The country hosted its first solar show in 2009 and has shown tremendous improvement since then. The expo is viewed as an important clean energy expo in Asia.
The Expo is expected to offer a fitting platform for Korean and other companies all over the world to promote their clean energy products. Around 300 participating companies from over 30 countries of the world are expected to display their innovative technology and products in the expo.
