Borrego Solar Systems to Build Solar Panel Farm in Dartmouth, Massachusetts

Borrego Solar Systems, a San Diego-based company, has recently declared its plans to construct a solar panel farm worth $6 million in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. This new project will improve the trading relationship between California and Massachusetts.

Borrego Solar will deploy about 6,900 solar modules on an approximately five-acre land in Dartmouth. The Dartmouth solar power farm will be the second solar module system in the state. The Dartmouth solar power farm has an estimated capacity to produce 1.4 MW of power that meets the energy demands of about 1,400 houses. The Select Board of the city has unanimously approved the construction of the solar farm.

Jared Connell, Dartmouth project's developer, said that Borrego would utilize the power produced by the solar farm for its requirements and then trade the surplus energy to N*Star, a utility firm operating in Massachusetts.
